Project Scorpio DevKit (the new Microsoft console)

Hi gamers, today we have new information on the new Microsoft console, Project Scorpio. This time we share photos of the DevKit (XDK) or Development Unit used by game developers.

To date we have known about the technical specifications of the game console Porject Scorpio, but we have not seen the console as such; Bone ... the design.

Although the following photos do not correspond to the final model that will be sold to players in stores, can give us some idea of how it will look. The photos you will see below were taken to the development units (Project Scorpio DevKits). At least this model looks almost identical to the Xbox One S, but obviously with additional buttons; Own of a unit of development.

We all know that Project Scorpio will be far superior to Xbox One S, and even superior to PS4 Pro in several aspects; But DevKit is even more powerful.

The Scorpio GPU has 40 calculation units, while the DevKit has 44 units. The regular Scorpio console for sale has 6 Teraflops (TFLOPS) and Devkit 6.6 TFLOPS. The RAM is double, (Scorpio 12 GB GDDR5), (Scorpio Devkit 24 GB GDDR5).

Obviously being more powerful, you need a higher capacity energy source; So the DevKit of the Xbox Scorpio is 330 watts, while the regular Scorpio for players is 245 watts.

The new Porject Scorpio console will go on sale in the Christmas season 2017; Although the exact date has not yet been revealed by Microsoft. More official details will be presented at the E3 2017 convention.
